What materials are used to create quality hand painted pet portraits?
Paintings can be created on a variety of surfaces and with a variety of media upon request. However, most of my pet portraits are done using artist quality mixed media that include Windsor and Newton Professional Water Colours, Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils and Artline Permanent Inks, on 640 GSM Arches Cold Pressed Water Colour Paper. All products are of archival quality and will stand the test of time if looked after.
How to choose the best size to have your pet portrait?
Your pet portrait can be made at any size. The things you need to consider are… how much will it cost to frame? And what size will fit the environment the painting is going to hang in? Will it be swamped if it is too small or will it take over a room and not fit if it is too big? You also have to consider your budget as usually bigger means more expense.
My portraits are usually done in two sizes;
How much is it to commission a hand painted pet portrait?
